Why stamp a QR code instead of printing stickers

Sizes

4cm x 4cm — the standard square QR. Suits mailers, boxes, tags and cards. This is the size most small businesses want.

8cm x 5cm — a wider block that fits your QR alongside a line of text, such as your handle, "Scan to reorder" or "Scan to review". Better for larger boxes and paper bags.

Before you order

Generate your QR code first and upload it as a black-on-white image at the highest resolution you have. Test it on your phone before uploading. Once the stamp is engraved the code cannot be changed, so use a link you intend to keep — a profile URL rather than a one-off campaign link.

Very dense QR codes with long URLs need a larger stamp to scan reliably. If your link is long, choose 8cm x 5cm or shorten the URL first.

How to use it

No ink pad needed — the ink is built in. Press straight down on a flat surface with even pressure, then lift straight up without rocking. Let it dry a few seconds on coated surfaces before stacking.

Frequently asked questions

Will the stamped QR code actually scan?

Yes, provided the code is not too dense for the size chosen and you stamp onto a reasonably smooth, light surface. We check your uploaded file before engraving and will tell you if the code is too detailed for the size you have selected.

Do I need an ink pad?

No. This is a pre-inked stamp with the ink held inside the body. It is ready to use as soon as it arrives.

How many impressions will I get?

Pre-inked stamps give thousands of impressions before they need re-inking, and they can be re-inked to extend their life further.

Can I change the QR code later?

No. The code is engraved permanently. If your link changes you would need a new stamp, so point the code at something stable like your Instagram profile or website homepage rather than a temporary campaign page.

Which surfaces does it work on?

Kraft mailers, corrugated boxes, paper bags, thank-you cards, swing tags, invoices and most uncoated paper. For plastic, poly mailers, laminated or glossy packaging you need our permanent poly stamp instead — the matte pre-inked ink will smudge on non-porous surfaces.

What file should I upload?

A black-on-white PNG, PDF, SVG or AI file at the highest resolution you have. Do not upload a screenshot of a QR code from your phone — the quality is usually too low to engrave cleanly.

Can I add my business name under the code?

Yes. Include the text in your uploaded artwork and choose the 8cm x 5cm size so both the code and the text stay large enough to read and scan.

What colour ink should I choose?

Black. QR codes rely on contrast to scan, and black on kraft or white paper is the most reliable combination. The other colours are available but scan less consistently, especially on brown kraft.

How long until I receive it?

Orders are usually made and dispatched within 4 working days, with delivery across India after that. You will receive a design proof before we engrave.

Can I order more than one?

Yes, and many businesses do — one QR stamp plus a logo stamp is the usual pairing. Bulk and corporate quantities are available, just message us on WhatsApp for a quote.
